Timothy Fitzgerald is an Associate Professor at the Baker School at the University of Tennessee. He was awarded a Ph.D. by the University of Maryland. His research interests include natural resource and environmental economics, with a focus on energy issues; his research has been published in outlets including the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, Energy Economics, Land Economics, and Resource and Energy Economics. In 2017-2018 he served at the Council of Economic Advisers in the White House, as a Senior Economist and as Chief International Economist. He has been a fellow at Resources for the Future in Washington, DC and at the Property and Environment Research Center in Bozeman, MT.
